How Do You Model More Consistent Self Compassion?

Emmy Award-winning author christen Wright says self compassion can help you be more compassionate to yourself and others. Self compassion allows you to sustain being there for others without burning out, she argues. When you model self compassion out loud, other people learn self compassion, partly through a process of modelling. She also suggests that we imagine our close friends in the exact same situation as ourselves - it could give us an insight into what they would say if they were facing similar circumstances.
