The Threat of Investing in California

Bob Greene says he would love to live in California temporarily as a house hack, but doesn't want that be his primary residence for tax purposes. He thinks mentally you're looking at house hacking and your primary residence as sort of like an anchor that's tying you to a place that you don't want to live. "I think there may be a mental block where you're thinking, I don't wants to stay in California long term," Greene says.
