The Relationship Between Physical Processing and Consciousness

Would an uploaded version of David Chalmers be conscious? It's a tough question because we don't know what the relationship is between physical processing and consciousness. If you think the computer's not going to be conscious, well during that gradual transition something has to go wrong. So my own view at this point is that by far the most likely thing to happen is your consciousness will actually persist throughout.
