The Dangers of a Fed-Responsible Currency

I believe that if you were to think about it, there's absolutely no reason why we couldn't live in a world in which there would just be 21 million units of the currency. We have a huge temptation on the part of the government to take advantage of the power to print money. And so I would be very wary and very worried about that kind of regime. The US debt is running out of control. And there will be a huge temptation by approximately 2030 or 20 or 2035 for the government to start printing money in order to finance its warfare welfare state. That would cause lots of problems down the road.
