Meditation Increases Compassion
Psychologist Paul condon tested the theory that meditation increases compassion. He recruited a group of people who had never meditated before. Half went through eight weeks of meditation training with he buddhist lama. The other half were allegedly put on a weight list for that training. After the eight weeks were up, everyone came to the lab thinking we were going to give them a memory test. That wasn't true though. The real test took place in the waiting room.
