How to Hire the Right Person to Scale Your Business
I would say for the first three to six months, do everything yourself. Understand how these deals are run from an asset management perspective before ever hiring anybody else to do something. Once you mastered those aspects and you know what needs to be done from that role, hire that first person. After we started buying more and more deals, the first person we hired was our asset manager. I was doing all the asset management at the time, but when it got to around a dozen deals,. That's when it became a little too much for me to underwrite the deals do asset management do investor reporting. So now Kaylee Chris runs all of the property level operations and business plan execution.
