Militarization of the police has seen a move away from trousers and blue shirt to now tactical pants. The load bearing ballistic vests up here in Queensland as a result of the shootings at Christmas time with the three police officers, two of them fatally. They do look very militarized. I mean, if you put them in camouflage, they'd look special to defence force personnel. We've already seen the difference that this makes in Queensland and in other states.
