The Importance of Intermediaries in God's Communication

God spoke to the fathers by the prophets, and then you get these two phrases in many portions and in many ways. God's typical way is to select prophets, inspire them and tell them to go talk to people on his behalf. So there were tens of thousands of Israelites that didn't get it firsthand, ever. They got it second hand exactly the way God wanted them to get it. Gloriously, truthfully, inherently, and I believe the Holy Spirit was working too, powerfully through the Holy Spirit.
