The Controversy of Adducanumab

Dr. Weaver: The FDA approved a drug called adducanumab this past year for Alzheimer's disease. He says despite the fact that it does take beta-amyloid out of the brain, it doesn't appear as far as we have seen to make a big difference in how well people can function. Dr. Weaver: There is toxicities associated with its use. So, it's not the wonder drug, but I'm glad to see that it's out there.
