What's Happening to the Story Field?
Despa: I've been thinking a lot lately about what we do with stories culturally. And there's a passage where you wrote about television. You said, i turned on the television set, the story box. That changed the story field of the world. The commercial aspect of stories threatens the diversity of the world's stories and manners of telling. Growing memories and the ability to access memory is a skill that allows access to eternity. It is within all of us.
