You don't really own your verdict of beauty until it's, I guess, in your own contemplative sphere. It's experiential, not deductive. You're making a claim on others. There can be reasons for it, even if those reasons can't lead to a demonstrative proof. And the reasons play a different role there than they might in a scientific or mathematical context.
