The Cuberus of Youth
In 1991, Pinotubo erupted in the Philippines. The temperature of the Earth dropped by a degree and a half worldwide for a few years. That period is a smaller version of what nuclear winter is thought to be like. We modeled it as a very simplistic system just extrapolating a lot of numbers. Later, scientists began to look at eruptions in the climate record.
