The Power of Apologies

If you know that you're going to be late to a meeting, you can say, I'm running late. We normally use it in the continuous tenses. But no, British people were very conscious of the time. What about when you want somebody to do things? You could also say, it would be great if you could just pass me over that budget and I can take a look at it. Maybe the last one I'm going to finish off with here is about being late and apologies. It's basically like a polite way to say, you're taking too long and we need to move on.
