Lodges called saint andrews were usually organized by scottish exiles of some sort. The first known lodge in portugal was formed at lisbon in 17 35. A few years later, in germany, the first known masonic lodge was established at hamburg. In poland,. the first known lodge called three brothers was founded at warsaw in 17 forty four. So this began, as far as we know, the spread of freemasonry into the sort of broader eastern europe. And it would grow and become quite popular, also in hungary, now, the southern balkans.
