Do Not Share Power With Alets
Leaders can do a couple of different things to avoid sharing power with elites. One strategy is vacancis, where leaders never appoint vice president or minister of defence. In more extreme case, they will make themselves their own defense ministers or their own vice presidents. These cabinet positions are really powerful and come with a ton of resources such as cars, housing and government contracts.
