The Origins of Kin Base Institutions
i argue that cultural evolution harnessed these instincts to build the first and most primordial of human institutions, what anthropologists call kin base institutions. After the origins of agriculture, competition amongt groups favored more intensive kin groups leading to the formation of clans and kindreds. In many societies, people come to see the world as governed by relationships that animate individual actions.
