Using a Protobuf Schema Language

A protobuf message looks a lot like a ghost struct. The amount of effort it takes to write a protobuf schemas is about what you would spend on a ghost struct anyways. You get a rich type system. There are well-known types that get shared across the whole ecosystem for like durations, dates. It doesn't have anything like an interface or a function. Say like my API does something without GRPC. But they're open source directly from the way Google uses them.
