Derrida on the Transition From Structuralism to Post-Strauss
Derrida: All ideas can be traced to fundamental structures. Derrida spends a lot of his time talking about an anthropologist, a French anthropologist named Claude Levis-Strauss. The shift is often labeled quite colloquially or kind of vulgarly as the transition from structuralism to post-structuralism. So it begs the question, how muchabout what we know of structuralism and how much of what Derrida critiques of it with what we're going to do is actually localizable to a single era, to a single kind of episteme.
