The Uruman Thumim in the Mormon Religion

Early mormon documents talk t the uriman thumim, as they would pronounce them. The possession and use of these stones were what constituted seers in ancient or former times. So moroni tells joseph smith that he'll be shown a book written on golden plates, and that he'll also be shown two stones set in silver bows, like eye glasses,. These are called the uruman thumim. And that god prepared them for the purpose of translating the book.
