What Was the Most Unexpected Aspect of Working on This Project?

This project took me three and a half years. I drove 25 thousand miles across all 15 of the program states. As i was on i did those 25 thousand miles almost entirely by myself. Two of the people whose portraits i shot in this book have memoirs i listened to ther they were an audio book. And that embrace of this sort of broad rosenwald school community was unexpected and an incredible joy.
