School Closures - Why Aren't They Happening?

America's children missed more face to face schooling than those almost anywhere else in the rich world since the pendemic began. Since the return from the winter holidays, some schools have been closing again. Why? In part, some schools are closing because of problems finding staff. Too many teachers and support staff are being required to self isolate. But it's also the case that some Schools have been closing peremptiely because they believe that that is safer for their staff and students.
