I had visited California once because my dad was used in alcoholic and he ended up in sort of bottoming out. And then after high school, I thought, well, the only thing I liked doing is acting. So I went out there and I spent a year doing auditions and not getting any parts,. Not even really getting any good auditions. But right before I was leaving for college, I got a job in Gus Van Sant's to die for.
