Flint, Michigan would receive an initial round of $5 million in federal aid to help cover the cost of providing water, water filters, and other items. FEMA workers would hit the ground and the EPA would finally take action. At the same time, the Michigan Attorney General was also taking action. A state investigation would begin to determine what, if any, laws were violated in the process that resulted in the contamination crisis.
