Are We Levelling Up?
The only reason we've got 830 an a sity is because of mareal combined authority. I have police and crime powers that gives me an opportunity to change the lives of people i represent quite substantially. So i would encourage communities to think about getting a mare but, of course, it is going to be quite complicated. It's all right saying you're levelling up, but then keeping control right in the centre, in whitehall and westminster. That's not genuine levelling up. And climate change, surely that's the other side the coin of levelling up?
