Hildegard - A Woman's Life
Hildegard said that the entire content of her writings was revealed to her by the living light. Hildegard boldly and pointedly wrote her own treatises, in Latin rather than German. Her ideas would count for nothing if they had not been dictated to her by God himself. In a letter she wrote to another female mystical thinker of the time, Elizabeth of Shunau,. She is nothing but a vessel built by God for his inspiration.
