I was studying the Isle of Portland for about three or four days. And by that time, it was enough for me to have this. Oh my God. Two people threw a pound coin at me. That is insane. It's a bit like the rabbit thing, isn't it? We just decide. This particular word is going to be prescribed and suddenly very, very quickly. Some people loved it; others were angry. I'm sick of these people here. They bloody stupid, ridiculous thing. You're not allowed to say it.
Special Guest Mark Steel joins me to discuss cultural and linguistic differences between the UK and France, plus accents in the UK and a little tour of some places in the UK that you don't know about. Also includes a discussion of swearing and rude language in Britain. What is the R word which you should never say in a specific part of the UK? Listen on to find out.
