60% of you know a colleague who has died by or attempted suicide. Trainees and students do not have these luxuries of time and resources, yet are most at risk. One study found that a third developed new clinical depression which persisted over the following years of their residency. Given what our trainees sustained during COVID, I fear the trends in the coming years.
