The Foundational Economy After the Pandemic

i think it was obvious straightway when cobed 19 hit that a lot of workers were going to be essential. So in that sense, the pandemic sort of provided confirmation that the foundational economy certainly was important and needed to be kind of pushed much further up the kind of a genderinte visibility. But i think there's a real challenge in how to sustain the interest in those sectors after pandemic because politicians have short attention spans. And if we're re imagining these sectors, i don't think it's simply about the vulnerability of long supply chains but also about the nature and climate emergency and environmental crisis.
