The Benefits of Statins for Athrosclerosis

There's a big, and there's a little so much misinformation on this on the internet. Athrosclerosis is an LDL mediated disease. Apo B is most of your LDL particles, but hey, LP little A is an LDL particle. If I give you a statin, the statin is superb at lowering the real LDL particles. They drop by 40%, 50%. But LP little A, only in some people might go up 10 or 20%. So you lower your real LDL particle count by several hundred and you raise your LP little A particle count by a hundred nanomoles of particles.
