But no, i think if an alien came and saw a chiawa skeleton and a wolf skeleton, they probably wouldn't think that they were closely related at all. The majority of the evolutionary theory based on inference gave it then as we know there's similarity within animals that we see today. That is certainly plausible for how change from each other to be possible. Then when we have this hypothesis of maybe ocaso, maybe even extinct forms being able to predict further into the distant past
