There was a taboo on genetic research after the second world war. It wasn't as if there was this big pushin. They weren't throwing money at genetics because you still had to get past review groups. When i took my first job, i went from the university of texas to take my first job at the university of colorado. Im and i wanted to do an adoption study because a number of twin studies, but there were very few adoption studies.
