Is Emergency Medicine Really a Different Specialty?

Are we failing by using emergency medicine as the training paratime for this role, which is embracing so much of other specialties in primary care that you really need an ittensive knowledge? Should wet either be a separate training paradime rural medicine, for instance, or maybe a fellowship specifically in this what are the thoughts? Let's start with the last first, and then we'll go in the opposite order.
