The Power of Consciousness
The word consciousness is used in so many ways I'm wondering if we should give some kind of framing or definition to just make it clear exactly what we're talking about. In my book I use the description from Thomas Nagel's essay what is it like to be a bat which is a great essay and definitely worth reading. He describes he explains consciousness in the following way he says an organism is conscious if there is something that it is like to be that organism. Even though the language is not as there's kind there's no no great language to make it as clear as we would like it to be but I feel like that really conjures up the our intuitions in a way that makes
