Dürowanger and his men kill 15,000 people in 15 months of operations, losing only 92 of their own. His methods make a lie of the civil administration's assurances of their wish to work together with the Belarusian people. The number of villages burned during sweep operations exceeds that of those burned by the Bolsheviks.
