The inspiration of the book came because when I joined Autodesk, I was in a very high position of power. The rise of the deal was an invitation for designers to step up into leadership positions. Ten years later, we're seeing design leaders and other types of leaders in leadership positions where they're bringing in a different perspective. They're not necessarily coming from a business background or technology background. And their job fundamentally changes from your domain excellence to designing cultural change.
