How Long Does It Take to Backtest a Strategy?

The biggest adjustment in strategies for me is that I've been trading a lot more reversals and pullbacks rather than breakouts. In sideways markets or in things worth, we're still kind of choppy, 2015 comes to mind. This year actually is kind of reminding me a little bit of 2015. And I think this is the type of market environment where perhaps you're finding more success waiting for that stock to pull back five, six, seven days into some support. The time series that lines up on a week or month or multi month basis are what I like to use most.
