The Importance of Being Honest to the Data
If you have a narrative in your head about how the world works it's much easier to be a magpie i think because every all facts then go into yeah that sort of fits with that model or oh no that really doesn't fit with that model. "The most important currency for any scientist is being honest and that means being honest to the data so if you've got a model and it doesn't fit then don't go pushing that model," he says.
