The process for gentrification is basically the same in Australia. It's old rundown areas, close to the city and in some places close to the water. The main shopping strip has very few four-lease or four-sale signs. For me, that's a sign that the local economy is doing quite well. If you can do your research properly and you can buy into an area that you think is gentrifying, you can make some very good money.
