Elijah travelled for forty days and 40 nights to reach the mountain of god. He was told by an angel that he should eat bread baked over hot coals and a jar of water. But when he sat down under it, he prayed that he might die. The story has been a big one for me as a recovering prophet - i don't know if 'recovery' is right word or not.
