The Gift of Divine Sonship

In the Old Testament, God is speaking to his people in like baby talk. He's reaching down and trying to communicate in ways that they'll understand. But in the new covenant, what happens? God picks up his children and he elevates them and he raises them up to himself. And so we have in the coming of Christ, a kind of growing up of humanity.
