From 18 70 to 19 hundred, you see a lot of economic growth. But that era of gilde gilded age was punctured by a number of things. The spanish flew, a war and a financial crisis. People wanted bigger government as an arbiter of capital and labor. And it's true that we had a breakdown of globalization. So we had smooth holy policies that were very aggressively anti foreign goods and and services coming into the us. That left the united states in an economic malas for 25 years.
