The 25 Years of Legal Litigation

I've been in the trenches on this and have followed it since the beginning. There is a whiff of colonialism in any determination by a European state that somebody else's law is adequate. So I think that there are some folks at a minimum, some resentment and some jokes when I negotiated these deals and we got a successful outcome. But one of the real concerns throughout this exercise has been a failure in Europe to recognize that they are acting in a fashion that is highly judgmental about other people's laws.
