Sally Kohn: Is it just elite signals that basically all minorities and all women have to be, you know, left wing? She asks how much of these divisions are sort of socially constructed. How much is just like a self-fulfilling prophecy where you tell people blacks are like this and women are like this?, she says.Kohn: I would think a certain social construction effect is going on that's really hitting minorities, particularly African Americans who come to university.
