Three historians have written a book about the origins of modern food. They were frustrated by how little was known about corn syrup and other chemicals used to make it. The authors say they wanted to convey these stories in a way that could really run with them. After world war too, when you get your chitos and oreos and cheqks mix and your frosted flakes, things changed very quickly.
