i loved learning about legwin in relation to her own mother, who herself becomes a very ful writer before leguin finds much success at all. But more to the point of what we've discussed, i think what's really notable about your book,. which also makes me excited about your biographies, is how you centre the subject position of the mother and don't measure it based on outcomes for the children. So we see, in the leguin chapter, different coping mechanisms of the different children around what their mother has chosen as a mother and as a writer. And you've made it difficult to wait until 26, julie, i'll do my best to get it done.
