The 10 Year Yield and Mortgage Rates
When we get to that level, the 10 year yield will be well ahead of the Federal Reserve because the Fed is old and slow. But in any case, the language changes after we break above that because then everybody's talking about a recession at that point. Then it becomes when do they start to cut rates? That becomes a more interesting story, especially after the last existing home sales report we got. Yes, we'll talk about that but I want to zero in our mortgage rates.
