The Day of Cosmological Reckoning Is Coming

People need to be out there earning money to create an economy and create wealth such that we can overcome the problems of to morrow. We protect ourselves that alone have families, endangered species or the environment. Great extinctions have happened many, many times before. Why should we be so special? Wall only in one way, by creating the knowledge to swiftly deal with the hostile universe and what it throws at us. To do this takes wealth, which is the capacity to transform the universe into what we want. And that step takes knowledge, but it must happen quickly, not so quickly as to carelessly cast aside all caution.
