The Cost of Lady Liberty

I'm a distant YouTube student of US politics, but I think one of the founding doctrines of the United States. It's give me liberty or give me death. And what we are learning today is it can't be liberty at all costs that there is a price too far to pay for this idea of lady liberty. The U.S. is experimenting with things that parts of the world have experimented with and have found not to work. She's testing it, and it's a very, very dangerous game. A leader's role is not to be popular, be effective,. And a society's role is to preserve itself for the safety of its children.
