The Drawbacks of the Shale Revolution

The shale revolution was fantastic for the United States as a whole, but investors lost a lot of money. The companies needed to reinvest so much of their profits to keep up with that threadmeal of drilling wells and drilling wells to increase production. So at some point, Wall Street said enough is enough. Companies abandoned these targets of growing and growing and they focused on returning money to shareholders.
