Chemo Synthetic Bacteria in the Environment

Chemosynthesis is just a term that we use to divide up those range of metabolism from those that use the sun's energy and those that use chemical energy. These are all microbes that are adapted to living in very low oxygen or anoxic environments, really. You've got places in the deep-sea, like hydrothermal vents, where these sulfide-rich fluids are spewing out of thedeep-sea. Even in your back garden pond, you'll find sulfide.
